The idea of Guerrilla Global was born out of a desire to pass on personal safety skills to at-risk audiences. The concept was formulated in Quito, Ecuador during a trip to build a program for victims of trafficking. The original idea of this concept has since evolved to focus on Intimate Partner Violence, however, it is an extremely viable self-defense method for the physical enforcement of boundaries.
The foundation of Guerrilla Global and Guerrilla Silat is based on well over 30 years of training in silat, arnis, and various martial arts. Taking those years of study, fighting, and time in other professional capacities, the necessary materials have been distilled into the essential components of a reasonably complete system for personal safety that is easily learned and transmitted.
It does not include every answer to every problem—and no single system does—but it does include the essential foundation, principles, strategies, and tactics, which give the individual a systematic basis for continued education as specifically needed or to modify situationally. That is a critical difference in my approach. I will never teach you something that I don’t understand or pretend to have every answer.
Enjoy,
